Trust Officer

Why Swindon?
I was born in Swindon and come from a long line of Swindon supporters. During my younger years it was always a family trip to the County Ground come rain or shine.”

Favourite Swindon moment?
So many fantastic memories of standing on Stratton Bank alongside my Dad and my Uncles, but I think the Wembley trip against Leicester has to be the best!!”

Why are you involved with the trust?
“Whilst working in a local Primary School I was given the opportunity to get involved with the Schools Working party that the trust started. This scheme helped to provide lots of local Primary school children with free or discounted tickets for certain Swindon games and raised the profile of the club to lots of new fans. It was so lovely to see so many local children enjoying, what was for so many, their first Swindon Town game.”

What is your role?
“I provide Admin support for the Trust and the Schools Working Party.”

How would you like to see the Red Army Fund being used?
“After spending so many afternoons and evenings on Stratton Bank (through wind, rain and sleet) I would love to see a new roof on the Bank to make it a much more enjoyable experience for all. After the success of the Schools Working Party last season it would be great to see more opportunities for families to attend games at a reduced cost to make it more affordable to make it a family day out.”

Ultimately, what would you like the Trust to achieve?

“I would like the Trust to make the Club a live and vibrant part of the Town, accessible to all. Swindon Town was a huge part of my youth and has instilled a life-long love of the beautiful game.. How amazing if we could help to make this the case for all the young people in Swindon.”
